The Rinascimento collection dresses the altar of the chapel of the Discalced Carmelite Convent in Michigan (USA).

After more than a year of renovation and restoration, the chapel of the Discalced Carmelite Infant Jesus Convent in Traverse City, Michigan, has been inaugurated and reopened to the public.

The change responds to a desire of the american catholic community to have churches that look like churchesMother Mary of Jesus, abbess of the convent, explained: "We decided to renovate the sanctuary in order to creating an atmosphere of sacred beauty and transcendence". The convent was built in the 1960s in the utilitarian style of those years.

Duncan G. Stroik has been the architect in charge of the renovationThe new building was designed in a more classical style, in order to restore to sacred architecture the classical ideas of beauty and harmony.

Among the changes that have been implemented are liturgical vestments, such as the tabernacle, altar cross and candlesticksall belonging to the collection RINASCIMIENTO designed with Duncan G. Stroik and entirely carried out in the art workshops that GRANDA owns in Madrid.
