{"id":13154,"date":"2014-09-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-09-18T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/granda.com\/el-nuevo-oratorio-del-colegio-retamar\/"},"modified":"2022-10-06T10:41:22","modified_gmt":"2022-10-06T10:41:22","slug":"the-new-oratory-of-the-retamar-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/granda.com\/en\/el-nuevo-oratorio-del-colegio-retamar\/","title":{"rendered":"The new oratory at Colegio Retamar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On September 8, 2009, the first <strong>blessing of the Altar <\/strong>from <strong>new oratory at Colegio Retamar<\/strong>Ram\u00f3n Herrando Prat de la Riba, Vicar General of Opus Dei in Spain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The project <\/strong>of the new oratory has been carried out by the <strong>architectural studio <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artytech2.es\/P59-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Artytech2<\/a> who has been able to combine different materials such as steel and bamboo in a unique and very personal design.<\/p>\n<p>All the <strong>decorative elements<\/strong> The interiors of the temple are the work of <a href=\"https:\/\/granda.com\/en\/\"><strong>Granda<\/strong><\/a>. The presbytery has been decorated with <strong>three large reliefs <\/strong>The 4-meter-high statue, representing the Holy Family and different scenes from the Gospel: Jesus among the doctors and the miraculous catch of fish. A <strong>sculptural composition <\/strong>representing St. Josemar\u00eda surrounded by Retamar children and family members (175x 175x 80cm deep) occupies one of the sides.<\/p>\n<p>In the center of the presbytery, <a href=\"https:\/\/granda.com\/en\/\"><strong>Granda<\/strong><\/a> has designed an altar table richly carved and made of marble, as well as the seat, the ambo, a Stations of the Cross, the oratory benches, the Blessed Sacrament lamps and the tabernacle. The decoration of the sacristy has also been carried out by <strong>Granda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This new work is part of the <strong>expansion and refurbishment project <\/strong>carried out in the <strong>Capilla.
