To this end, theologians with artistic sensibility and artists with religious sensibility have been invited to participate in this symposium.<\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis recalled that \"<em>in every age, the Church turned to the arts to express the beauty of her faith and proclaim the Gospel message of the greatness of God's creation, the dignity of man created in his image and likeness, and the power of Christ's death and resurrection that brought redemption and rebirth to a world marked by the tragedy of sin and death.<\/em>\".<\/p>\n<p>The Symposium aims to facilitate a doctrinally consistent and attentive reflection on new modes of artistic expression from which both artists and theologians can benefit.
