On November 15, 2016, the Santo\u00f1a Palace hosted a new edition of the Comunidad de Madrid Craftsmanship Award<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This initiative, which this year celebrates its second edition, recognizes the trajectory of artisan companies that conserve long-established techniques. It also values their commercial competitiveness in today's highly industrialized context and their efforts to adapt their designs to the tastes and demands of today's market.<\/p>\n

The Felix Granda Foundation, created in 1997 with the aim of promoting the artistic and cultural heritage related to sacred art, sponsored this award, valued at 2000\u20ac, which was presented by M\u00aa Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rez-Cejuela (General Director of Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Community of Madrid), Clemente Gonz\u00e1lez Soler (President of the Executive Committee of Ifema) and Ms. Carmen Ferrero Algar (Vice President of the Felix Granda Foundation) in recognition of the professional career of two artisan companies that contribute with their activity to the preservation of traditional crafts.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the prize, in the category \"Traditional Crafts\", went to the guitar making company Felipe Conde SL,<\/a> for its consolidated trajectory and the important promotion it carries out through the export of its guitars all over the world. Also winning in the \"Contemporary Craftsmanship\" category was the production and design center The Torah<\/a>The company's intense work in reinterpreting the most advanced techniques on the market, using traditional materials in an innovative way.<\/p>\n

Here we leave the reader the publication in paper of the magazine \"Craft and art.\"<\/a>The OAE, a magazine of the organization of artisans of Spain (OAE), a group that represents all the artisan workshops in our country, about the award and the winning companies of the same.<\/p>\n
