Although there is evidence of the veneration of the Cross of Christ at least since the fourth century, devotion to the Holy Cross intensified in the seventh century after the sack of Jerusalem by the Persian army, which, after sowing death in Jerusalem and destroying its basilicas, stole the much venerated relic of the Holy Cross.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3954\" src=\"https:\/\/granda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/expositor.jpg\" alt=\"exhibitor.jpg\" width=\"780\" height=\"1170\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The origin of this festivity dates back to the <strong>614, the year in which Emperor Heraclius recovered the relic of the Cross of Jesus and returned it to Jerusalem.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The cross is the sign of victory for the Christian, so it is common for many Christians to manifest their faith by carrying a cross or a crucifix.
