Art and creation<\/h2>\n

GRANDA<\/strong> is today one of the few places where these ancient traditions survive. Following these same principles and the trajectory marked by more than a century of experience, the goldsmith's workshop seeks to give form to beauty, so that sacred objects are full of symbolism and are not mere dead instruments in the hands of the priest. The creative process begins with the design that comes from the artist's mind. Everything is thought about and meditated upon: from the material to be used, the symbols to be engraved, to the ornamental technique to be employed. This idea is captured in the drawing, where the materialization of the piece to be made is carried out, adapting it to its function and to the place where it will be destined.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Artistic techniques of our religious goldsmithery<\/h2>\n

In the goldsmith workshop<\/strong>In the interior and exterior structure, only metals are used. Silversmiths<\/strong> y broncists<\/strong> They take great care and apply all their knowledge to create the works, enriching them with embossing, precious stones, enamels and friezes worked in metal. The larger pieces, such as tabernacles<\/strong>, processional crosses<\/strong>, candlesticks<\/strong> o sanctuary lamps<\/a>are created by bronze craftsmen, who make and assemble the pieces that make up each object by hand. Materials and quality<\/h2>\n

The works of religious gold and silverware produced at GRANDA<\/strong> are made with the most refined craft techniques and the best materials, thus guaranteeing the maximum durability of the object. As they are works destined for worship, it is common to use noble metals such as gold and silver, combined with other metallic supports such as bronze, copper and brass. The pieces are also ornamented with enamels, and precious and semiprecious stones, adding color and luminosity. The interior of the chalices and goblets is always gold plated.<\/p>\n
