Sculpture cast in bronze following a model in clay made by the artist Diana García. It is a contemporary, figurative piece, where the textured treatment of the figures, particularly of the bodies, contrasts with the smooth lines that define them. Even without looking directly at each other, the Virgin and the Child establish a dialog through body language, especially in the case of the Child, who looks at his Mother and extends His hand to play with her hair. The Virgin, wearing a subtle crown, is extending her hand as a sign of surrender. The smooth levels and the textured mantle are contrasted, creating a sensation of upward movement, which is suspended in the faces, the definition and serenity of which convey a feeling of transcendence.
