It is called Selexyz Dominicanen , is located in Maastricht and is considered the most beautiful bookstore in the world. It is also one of the most original: it is in a church more than 700 years old.
Located in the heart of Maastricht, it has existed as a bookstore since 2006 and to its old but well-preserved facilities are added some modern additions (the work of architects Merkx and Girod) that do not break the harmony of a church that has been abandoned for two centuries. Today, it contains an interesting selection of children's books, art books, literature, travel books.
In the old sanctuary of the church is today the coffee shop "Blanche Dael Coffee Lovers". The choir is used as a stage and during the weekend discussions, readings, interviews, concerts and exhibitions are held.
