The face of Christ

A face can contain many emotions. The ordeal that Jesus went through has been recreated by many artists in many different ways.

The face of the crucified Christ commissioned by Holy Cross Chapel of Houston (USA) reflects the joy of having fulfilled the will of the Father. He has given everything, he can give no more. He has suffered for the betrayal of men, for the pains inflicted, but nothing has been able to destroy the peace of His face. Although nailed to the Cross, he shows himself serene and satisfied that he has carried out the Father's will. There is peace in his attitude, serenity.
