Granda makes the chasubles worn by Pope Francis at the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia

There were two very moving Masses. The first was celebrated on Saturday, September 26, in the Cathedral of Philadelphia, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. Pope Francis and the concelebrants wore chasubles made especially for the occasion at the Taller Los Rosales de GRANDA. They were white with blue trimmings, as it was the day of the Virgin Mary.

On Sunday 27th, the Holy Pontiff officiated at 4:00 pm, the closing mass of the World Meeting of Families. Celebrated outdoors, the support for the Pope was palpable, with a massive participation of hundreds of thousands of people. On this occasion, the Supreme Pontiff wore a green chasuble, also made in GRANDA.

To make the vestments of the Holy Pontiff, the dalmatics for the deacons and the 65 chasubles and mitres for the concelebrants, the embroiderers of Los Rosales needed a total of 2 months, during which time 11 people worked on their confection.
