GRANDA completes the new baroque altarpiece dedicated to San Isidro in the parish church of Santa Leocadia, in Villaseca de la Sagra

One of the most emblematic and historical buildings of Villaseca de la Sagra, in the province of Toledo, is the Parish Church of Santa Leocadiaa baroque church of the XVII-XVIII century. During the eighteenth century, the various confraternities of the town adorned the temple with beautiful altarpieces that were destroyedThe area was almost entirely occupied by Republican troops during the Civil War.

In the reform carried out in 1971, the remains of the altarpieces that remained were removed. For several years now, and thanks to the generosity of its inhabitants and its donors, the parish is being decorated with new altarpieces, commissioned to GRANDA. The last one is the altarpiece of San IsidroThe altarpiece is in the baroque style, in harmony with the church.

It is an altarpiece composed of three benches, a predella, a body and an attic with three streets, which occupies the entire wall. The finish is mostly marbleized, with tones in harmony with the other existing elements in the temple and in gold with shiny and matte carvings and moldings.

The altarpiece will be occupied by four carvings, including a large carving of San Isidro and three smaller ones, such as San Juan.
