Granda designed the altar and ambo for the chapel of the Pushkin Institute in St. Petersburg. The option presented is an altar in wood to be varnished in a dark mahogany tone, with a base of fluted pilatras and capitals imilar to those of the reference altarpiece. At the base of the central body an interior space is reserved to house a reliquary protected by a safety glass.
Access to the reliquary is planned to be from the back, through a door concealed by the coffered ceiling.
A 3 cm green marble top has been suggested for its elegance and resistance, but also for the tradition of stone aras.
