Granda receives Macael award for its work in North America

Last Friday took place in Almeria the XXVIII edition of the Macael Awards, organized by the Andalusian Marble Businessmen's Association.

In this issue, Granda has been awarded the North America International Award by the religious works made of natural stone in different churches in the United States. In all of them, Granda has used marble in the most important elements such as the altar, the baptismal font and finishes that contribute to enhance the beauty of these temples.

The award was presented by José Sánchez Maldonado, Minister of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment of the Regional Government of Andalusia. a Santiago Ruiz Dubois, Granda's General Manager who, in his thank-you speech, highlighted the great aesthetic qualities and resistance of marble, a natural stone frequently used by Granda for the refurbishment of churches around the world.

The works, for which Granda has been awarded have been:

- Chapel of Owr Lady of the most Holy Trinity (Santa Paula, California)

- St. Stephen Cathedral (Owensboro, Kentucky)

- Holy Family Chapel (Darien, Illinois)

-St. Kilian Catholic Church (Mission Viejo, California)

The Macael Awards were created in 1985 with the purpose of recognize professionals who have stood out in a special way in the fields of architecture, craftsmanship and design at national and international level, and to people, institutions and media that have made unique actions for the benefit of the sector and the region.

Throughout these 27 years of existence, the Macael Awards have been consolidated as the most important event of the natural stone sector at national level.
