This week we have had, once again, the opportunity to collaborate in the course of Excellence in the care of the oratory that CEICID organizes periodically. This course is focused on training for the care and maintenance of liturgical objects, both those made nowadays and those that are old enough to be considered part of our Cultural Heritage.
Liturgical objects, even though they may be real, are not works of artare characterized by their functionality, since their use is necessary during liturgical celebrations. They are therefore subject to constant handling and, in order to avoid their deterioration, it is important to know in detail how to approach their maintenance and care.
Our collaboration with CEICID consisted, on the one hand, of educational lectures on the care of gold and silverware and on heritage works. On the other hand, a guided tour was organized for students to visit our Art Workshopswhere they were able to learn in detail how liturgical objects are made.
