GRANDA has been commissioned to make the monstrance for the night adoration that is celebrated every Thursday night in the church of San José de la Montaña in Madrid. It is a monstrance made of silver and commissioned to the Granda art workshops for the Medjugorje Center Foundation. The design has been provided by the Foundation itself.
The San José de la Montaña church is a Gothic style church built between 1908 and 1918 and located in the heart of Chamberí neighborhood, on Fernández de la Hoz street. Its interior decoration is austere and light-colored. Its construction was completed in 1918 with the tower, but without the spire originally designed by Basterra, which was finally built in 1931.
