Oratorio for the Universidad de la Sabana (Chía, Colombia)

The Universidad de la Sabana de Colombia already has a new oratory in which he has been involved GRANDA. The project's priority was to create a space of recollection to help the faithful in their feeling of adoration and devotion. The oratory was also intended to be integrated, at the same time and in a symbolic way, into the daily life of the university.

The entrance to the ante oratory, from the hall, is by means of two translucent parametersThe transparency of the glass is enhanced by translucent motifs.

By means of two lateral chamfers, the altar, the tabernacle and the faithful are enveloped. The altar, made of stone material, travertine marble, takes the necessary prominence next to the tabernacle.

The cladding extends to a lesser extent throughout the nave, giving unity to the whole and integrating the tall windows and side doors that unite it with the ante oratory.

A large pictorial representation of Christ handing the keys to St. Peter in the presence of the Apostles and Our Lady and, in the discreet background, St. Josemaría and D. Álvaro del Portillo, marks a central and symmetrical axis, focusing the attention thanks to its meaning and color.
