Granda has made the interior design of the Fontenelle oratory in Brusselslocated in a historic building in the Belgian capital. The rehabilitation of the building has been carried out by the architect Jan Frateur.
When designing the most appropriate solution for this space, the GRANDA project team involved in the work took into account the architectural style, dimensions, materials and finishes of the building where the oratory is located.
All elements that make up the oratorio have been made in GRANDA's workshopsThe altarpiece, oil paintings, dais, lateral cupboards of the presbytery, the holy water font, chasuble cupboard, ornament table, wooden cross on marble base, altar cross, tabernacle, lamps for the Blessed Sacrament, as well as the altar's dais.
Given the dimensions of the oratory, we wanted to take advantage of the available space to create a harmonious whole and provide it with elements of great beauty and quality. The tableau has been carried out in oak wood and wood fiber boards with varnished, lacquered and polychrome finishes. The moldings and details have been gilded with matte gold mixtión.
The altar cross is of silver-plated metal, with a support to be fixed to the altar. The tabernacle, made of gilded metal with 24 carat gold, has enamels with a scene of the Holy Trinity and enamels of vegetal ornamentation on the sides. The lamps of the Blessed Sacrament have been made with 24 carat gold gilded metal.
