We present the preliminary project for the distribution of the presbytery of the Church of Saint François de Sales, seeking to solve in the most liturgical way the placement of all the elements, especially the central placement of the altar which, as a symbol of Christ and the place where the Eucharistic mystery takes place, has supreme dignity and deserves the highest veneration and distinction. On the other hand, not having its own chapel for the Blessed Sacrament, the placement -also central- of the tabernacle is sought to be solved without taking away from the centrality of the altar.
Within the general layout project, two variants of the apse background are presented:
The first, a stained glass window of the Holy Spirit placed in the central window, which is currently hidden. It will also be artificially illuminated in order to always give prominence to the tabernacle, located in front of it. In this variant, the Christ of the property, suspended on chains above the altar, will be relocated.
The second variant foresees a background in polychrome wood with gilded engraving, with an 18 cm frame gilded with fine matte gold leaf. The Christ of the property will be placed on the background. Given that the church is oriented, we also think that this location of the cross is appropriate - as it is at present - even if the celebrant's back is turned to it.
