Baroque Collection

Liturgical trousseau Liturgical furnishings consisting of tabernacle, monstrance with pedestal, altar cross, altar candlesticks, and candelabrum. The tabernacle structure recreates Renaissance architecture that alludes to the Basilica of San Ignacio in Loyola, Guipúzcoa (Spain). It has a frontispiece finished off in a triangular pediment supported by pairs of Corinthian columns. The lateral bodies feature a balustrade with pinnacles on the top. It consists of a large semi-circular dome, with a hexagonal drum and a cupola topped with a cross. The tabernacle combines smooth and raised areas, featuring matte and mirror finishes on the dome. The door is decorated with a large Baroque-inspired enamel representing apotheosis of St. Ignatius of Loyola. In the interior, the vault of heaven is painted in one-piece enamel work and with the stars painted in liquid gold. Both the monstrance and the other pieces for this collection were crafted in gilded sterling silver and are inspired by silverwork designs from the late 16th century.
