The altar, carved in stone,
is modelled as a vine rising from the earth above which the Blessed Sacrament is displayed in the monstrance. Behind, we find a relief of the Last Supper, in sienna tones, with the image of Christ as focal point. The wooden decoration of the ceiling begins on this panel and replicates the width and straight lines that outline the Via Sacra. Its symbolism is further emphasized in the inscription on the front of the altar: “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life”. The decorative elements, made in wood and with simple yet elegant lines, create a warm and welcoming space aimed at giving worshippers a place of retreat in adoration and undisturbed encounter with the Blessed Sacrament.
