Gilded, carved, and chiseled silver, onyx and enamels
Since we continue using traditional artistic techniques at our Granda Workshop, we can create unique designs, which we often customize in accordance with our clients’ requests. Our designs can be either complex, featuring a large number of techniques or simple and contemporary. We have a team of designers, artists and draftsmen who prepare fine metalwork proposals in collaboration with our expert team of silversmiths and artisans. One of the chalices featured here recreates an antique chalice made in gilded silver, onyx, and enamels. The base is decorated with medallions made with paint on blue enamel and embossed naturalistic motifs depicting palms, symbol of martyrdom. The upper stem was modified in respect of the original to facilitate its use during the consecration. Another is a chalice inspired by 19th century neo-Gothic pieces, with a poly-lobed base and a decoration of Gothic thistle and tracery. Finally, we see a chalice where the decoration is kept to a strict minimum, with a contemporary and elegant result.
