Made in Carrara marble by sculptor Cody Swanson, under the artistic supervision of Talleres de Arte Granda. The Virgin appears standing, in a contrapposto position achieved by slightly raising one of her feet, with this visual weight shift, the hips, shoulders, and head tilt, suggesting relaxation with the subtle internal organic movement that denotes life-like mobility. Our Lady is holding the Child with great anatomical naturalism, which can also be seen in their sculpted faces, which are remarkably close to the portrait technique. The nimbuses, shaped as a cross in the case of the Child, are partially gilded.
