Last Wednesday, the 19th, Monsignor William Wack consecrated the altar of the Co-cathedral of St Thomas More in Tallahassee, Florida (USA). The temple has undergone a major intervention that has included the reconstruction of the presbytery, designed and produced by GRANDAwhere a marble altar and an altarpiece have been installed.
The church was originally built in 1967. In 2019, the church suffered a fire that partially destroyed the presbytery. This event prompted the rector, Rev. John Cayer, along with some of the parish faithful, to undertake a renovation beyond a simple repair.
The entire project is loaded with symbolism, both in the choice of figures and main theme and in the smallest details, such as the ornamental motifs that allude to the local flora of the Talahassee region.
