A family mausoleum in which Granda has collaborated receives the Craftsmanship Award of the Macael Awards 2015.

Last Friday, November 6th, took place the XXIX Edition of the Macael Awards which, every year, rewards the most representative works made with marble, both nationally and internationally. Organized by the Association of Marble Entrepreneurs of Andalusia, in this edition the Craftsmanship Award went to the architects Pascual Mata Sebastià and Javier Lahuerta for the design of the Family Mausoleum in Vila-Real (Castellón), whose execution was commissioned to Granda.

It is a mausoleum composed of a central tomb of access to a crypt and a sculptural group in the front in carved stone and surrounded perimetrically with balusters. The main motif of the set is a resurrected Christ flanked by a couple of angels in devotional attitude giving hope and testimony, waiting for the resurrection.

On the sides are two angels, one crowning the tomb as a symbol of the triumph over death and pledge of the ultimate prize, and the other with a dove in an attitude of liberation symbolizing the meeting of the soul with God. On the back, a relief of the Immaculate Conception in white marble completes the monument.
