This frontal expressiveness reinforced by the skillful use of colored silk threads and stitches. The decorative motifs on the panels and their botanically inspired details are derived from ancient wood carvings. The shapes of the motifs were made using gold and silver fabric appliqués, and hand embroidery with gold cords.
