Chapel of Perpetual Adoration of the Parish of St. Joseph the Worker
Featured Works: Burgos - Spain
Since this chapel
is dedicated to perpetual adoration, our design focused on the tabernacle, which had to stand out as the center of the chancel, while allowing to place an altar facing the worshippers. Accordingly, we opted for a tabernacle with a display case embedded in the wall, decorated with a large painting representing Pentecost. The Apostles are distributed around the Virgin, and the lateral panels, symbolizing the universality of the Church, feature groups of believers from the past, on the left, and the present, on the right. In this last panel we can see on the horizon the cathedral of Burgos, the city where the Christi is located. On the front of the altar table, engraved in dark-hued marble and with golden letters, we can find the inscription “Stay with us, Lord”, which recalls the words of the disciples at Emmaus. We also made the gold and silverware pieces, such as a large silver and enamel monstrance to display the Blessed Sacrament.
