This project
was carried out in collaboration with the acclaimed American architect Duncan Stroik. In line with the architect's ideas, we developed the main elements of the interior including the tabernacle, altar, and the baldacchino. The canopy of the baldachin / ciborium aims to replicate the style of the Italian Baroque precedents through which the architect wanted to emphasize the universal unity withing the Roman Catholic Church. The ceiling of the canopy, supported by Solomonic columns with composite capitals,is made of dark-toned partially gilded wood, which highlights the profusion of classical moldings and ornaments. Four round statues of angels rise up on the corners and, in the center, supported by big volutes as struts, stands a prominent Crucifix.
