Among the services we offer at GRANDA are the following Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art and Heritage Properties. The department is made up of a group of professionals specialized in all fields of catering, backed by their official qualifications. We have built a solid trajectory that has positioned us as one of the leading Spanish companies.

Our interventions range from comprehensive projects, which require the setting up of an on-site workshop, to small-format individual works, which we treat in the studio of our facilities. We undertake the restoration of easel painting (canvas and panel), mural painting, altarpieces, wood, stone and bronze sculpture, furniture, gold and silverware (silver and bronze), textiles, hand-painted wallpaper and porcelain.

Conservation and restoration experts

One of our differential values is our extensive multidisciplinary team: conservators, restorers, historians, architects, chemists, photographers, archaeologists, lighting engineers, who together with our artisan silversmiths, bronze workers, sculptors, carpenters and stonemasons provide us with valuable knowledge of traditional techniques.

Their expertise is essential to carry out interventions, following international guidelines and recommendations in accordance with current legal regulations.

Specialists in Church Heritage

The Restoration Department of GRANDA was born with the purpose of completing the vocation of service to the Catholic Church with which Don Felix Granda founded our company. In our interventions on ecclesiastical heritage assets we always keep in mind the particular needs of these works due to their liturgical or devotional use. This aspect, whose importance is also recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Religious Heritage, is always contemplated among the intervention criteria for the conservation and restoration of the works. We also offer an advisory service prior to the intervention in any cultural property.

In addition to works in private or institutional collections, we also intervene in pieces from public collections, through contracts with public administrations obtained in competitions. Our prestigious clients and contractors include the Ministry of Culture, the Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute (IPCE), the Regional Government of Castile and Leon, the Regional Government of Extremadura, the Community of Madrid and National Heritage, as well as numerous Cathedrals and Religious Institutions.
